Nicola Roberts has had fans in giggles after revealing the antics she and fellow Girls Aloud bandmate Cheryl got up to when they lived together. The 31-year-old took a trip down memory lane after being shown the photo of a takeaway receipt which has gone viral after a customer asked their delivery man to bring them flu medicine as well as fish and chips – a situation which sounded very familiar to the star.

"This is funny, I know it too well," Nicola wrote on Instagram, alongside a snapshot of the now-famous receipt. "Me & Cheryl used to do this with our Domino's man when we were teenagers. "Please could you also go to the shop next door and get us milk, washing powder & tabs. We'll pay you extra..""

The singer and songwriter admitted that they weren't trying to prank the drivers – but at the time neither of them were old enough to drive to the shops themselves. "We weren't sick, just neither of us could drive. They always did it for us," she revealed.

Nicola revealed she and Cheryl would ask delivery men to pick up items from the local shop

Although Girls Aloud split a few years ago, Nicola and Cheryl have remained close friends and are often spotted together on nights out, and were both bridesmaids at fellow bandmate Kimberley Walsh's wedding. Nicola has previously opened up about the trio's friendship, revealing that they regularly catch-up and keep each other "strong".

"Me, Cheryl and Kimberley always say if we haven't seen each other for a little while, as soon as you've had a recap and a catch-up, I don't know, I think maybe it's because we're used to working together for so many years that we always would have to be strong, have to be constantly making decisions," she told HELLO! Online. "There would always be a defence mechanism there naturally, so once we regroup, we're like, 'Okay, we've got our fix, we're back, we're strong.'"
