At least 15 people have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of Kim Kardashian in Paris in October, according to French media. Officials at the time said that the 36-year-old was robbed at gunpoint of £8.7million worth of jewellery by at least two people dressed as police officers, who tied her up in her Paris apartment early on 3 October.
A police source has now told Agence France-Presse that 16 people had been arrested in connection with the case, while Europe 1 and RTL Radio stated 15 people were being held. RTL also added that the perpetrators had fled the scene of the crime on foot and on bicycles.
The news comes just days after Kim spoke for the first time about her ordeal, in a trailer for season 13 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Fighting back tears, the reality star – who only recently returned to social media after a three-month blackout – said: "They're going to shoot me in the back. There's no way out. It makes me so upset to think about it."
The trailer also saw Kim receive a call seemingly about her husband Kanye West being admitted to hospital in November, following a series of increasingly bizarre on-stage antics. The rapper was taken to hospital following a "medical emergency" which appeared to be regarding his mental health. He was there for one week before returning home to recover with his family.
