News of their romance was first revealed in November. According to The Sun, the singer was reportedly keen to keep the relationship private following her high-profile split from ex-fiancé Zayn Malik in August 2015. "It's very early days between Perrie and Alex," a source told the publication.
"There's certainly some chemistry there and they've enjoyed spending time together. Both are keen to keep the relationship on the down low, they don't follow each other on social media as they know a connection might give the game away. After what happened with Zayn, Perrie doesn't want her love life to become public knowledge."

It was also alleged that the 23-year-old pop star was spotted watching Alex in his personal box at the Emirates Stadium. This is believed to be Perrie's first serious relationship since her split from Zayn. The former lovebirds began dating in early 2012, and got engaged in August 2013 when the former One Direction heartthrob popped the question. They shocked fans in August 2015 when it was revealed that they had chosen to end their engagement.
