Stranger Things was the breakout television show of 2016,with many an A-lister becoming addicted to the plotline. So it's really nosurprise that at Sunday night's Golden Globes many a famous face fangirled (orfanboyed) when meeting the show's cast members.

Take Blake Lively - she posted a snap of her hanging out with Millie Bobby Brown who plays Eleven in the Netflix show. The caption was"playin' it chill..." though the duo both looked anything but in theadorable photo.

Then there were Amy Adams and Amy Schumer who were soexcited about meeting the Stranger Things kids they couldn't figure outwho should be in a photo. Schumer posted the ensuing image to Instagram that features Adams making an epic photobomb.

On Tuesday night, the Arrival star recounted the story of what happened to Jimmy Kimmel. "I had this horrible thing happen where the Stranger Thingscast were like, ‘Amy! Amy!’ and I was like, ‘Oh my gah!’ and it was AmySchumer [they were calling]," she said. By the time the star realised what was going on, it was too late to hop out of thepic, resulting in the image Schumer shared.

The hilarious caption accompanying the Trainwreck star's post says it all: "Ummmmm things got strange #goldenglobes #amyadamsphotobomb."

Many are now eagerly awaiting the return of the hit series, which producers say will happen at some point in 2017. At the annual BAFTA Awards Season Tea Party, Shawn Levy, director of the '80s throwback series, teased fans with some minor details of what's to come.

"Season 2 is bigger and potentially darker in its stakes," said Shawn told Vanity Fair. "The threat, which in Season 1 was to Will Byers, has grown. That’s all I’m going to say! But, I will say Season 2 has a bigger cast and is definitely loyal to the kind of magical storytelling that we established in the first season. It’s character-based and still about our core group of characters."
