It's been 12 years since Nadiya Hussain married her husband Abdal, and during an appearance on Thursday's edition on This Morning, the former Great British Bake Off winner has revealed her plans for a second "marriage". Speaking with hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about her new novel, she teased: "We are on our twelfth year...so you never know, I might trade him in!"

The 32-year-old, who had an arrange marriage with Abdal when she was 19 years old, opened up about the early stages of their relationship: "We spoke to each other for six months, but we never actually met until the day we got engaged. And the second day I saw him was the day I got married! I went on looks." She added: "He was lovely and it worked. I'm lucky, because it doesn't always work, but I was really lucky that it did... I'd never trade him in."

Speaking about her desire to have a "proper British wedding", the mother-of-three revealed she will not be baking her own cake and is looking forward to someone else making a fuss. "I'll just have a good old time," she explained. "I want to wear a nice dress and I want a cake that I didn't bake! I want somebody else to go to all that effort for me, and I want to wear a lovely dress that I've chosen."

"I want a cake that I didn't bake," she confessed

In 2015, Luton-born Nadiya dazzled millions of viewers with her ever-popular lemon drizzle cake and delicious baked iced buns on GBBO, she was also tipped to be a possible presenter or judge after Mary Berry, Mel Giedroyc, and Sue Perkins decided to remain with the BBC. But on the rumours of potentially working with her former Bake Off co-stars again, Nadiya said: "That's a fantastic idea, I would love to work with Mel and Sue and if I was I'd say 'yes I am' but I'm not… the idea is fantastic, I'd love to do something with them."
