Although he's busy making new music in the studio and gearing up for the arrival of his first child with girlfriend Cheryl, Liam Payne is preparing to give one fan a very special treat. Taking to his social media pages on Monday, the One Direction star announced he has teamed up with (RED), a charity working to fight AIDS, to give one lucky follower the chance to spend time with him.

The 23-year-old will fly the winner and a friend over to Los Angeles and put them up in a 4-star hotel, before they get the chance to hang out with him at a recording studio in Malibu and enjoy lunch with him at celebrity hotspot restaurant Nobu.

In the video clip, Liam explained: "It's a bit like stepping into my office – only better. Afterwards, we'll get the chance to talk one-on-one about anything you want. Better yet, we'll get to chat over lunch at one of my favourite restaurants in Malibu. Trust me, you'll love it – so what are you waiting for?"

The competition comes a few weeks after the British pop star spent his first Christmas with Cheryl, who he started dating in early 2016. The celebrations were no doubt even special as the former X Factor judge is pregnant with their first child. Despite remaining tight-lipped about the pregnancy, Cheryl showed off her blossoming baby bump during a recent visit to the Fayre of St James Christmas Carol Concert in London, in aid of Cheryl's Trust in support of The Prince's Trust.
