On Wednesday night, Priyanka Chopra took home a People's Choice Award for Favourite TV Drama Actress and after accepting the statue, she spent a few minutes chatting with ET about her pal Meghan Markle. In the short video, the interviewer is overheard asking, "One of your best friends is dating a prince, and I'm wondering, are you in the running to be a royal bridesmaid?"

The 34-year-old's response was short and to the point: "No, but I'm just happy for Meg. And I hope whatever she does, wherever she goes in life, she's always happy."
"But you would be happy being a royal bridesmaid... who wouldn't be happy to be a royal bridesmaid?" questioned the interviewer. Laughing, Priyanka noted, "Well let's not jump the gun, let's give them their space!"
Meghan and Priyanka have been friends for years
She went on to say that she can't talk about the nature of the relationship between Megan and Prince Harry, and that as a good friend she doesn't want to give away private information about a pal. "That's what friends are for. We keep each other's secrets." This wasn't the first time the star has been questioned about her pal's new partnership.
At UNICEF's 70th anniversary celebration in December, she told E! News she was staying mum on what she knew. "I'm going to be a good friend to whatever my friends' needs, not just her," she said, adding she loved London and would head to the city any time Megan needed her. ”I would go anytime…I mean the Queen just has to invite me if that's what you're asking!" she quipped.
