Adele is capping off a banner year with a performance at the Grammys!
It's just been announced that the 28-year-old will take the stage at the annual awards show on Feb. 12. She's also nominated for five awards for her latest album "25," including album, song and record of the year, best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album. Of course, this isn't the first time Adele has appeared at the event; she's performed four times and has taken the stage to claim some 10 GRAMMYs over the course of her career. Her first statue came in 2009 when she won best new artist. Then, in 2012, she took home a record-breaking haul after releasing her second album "21." By winning six trophies, she tied Beyonce, to become the second female artist in history to win that many categories in a single night.
In a 2016 interview with 60 Minutes, the artist spoke openly about how shocked she's been by her fame and success. "How is it possible that album, ["21"], kept getting bigger and bigger?" She went on to tell The Guardian, “I’m not arrogant. I’m not gullible. Some people I’ve spoken to have said, ‘You’re going to sell at least half what you sold before [when I released "21"].’ But I don’t think anything’s a given. You don’t know.”
