After an elderly lady fell and hit her head in Kensington, west London, David Beckham pulled his car over to check if she was okay and offered her a bottle of water.

The retired footballer parked his car to block cars from getting too close to the woman while a fire engine was flagged down for help and an ambulance was called. A spokesperson for London's Fire Brigade said: "At around 16.45 a fire engine was flagged down to an elderly woman who had tripped when crossing the road and fell and hit her head. David Beckham was parked nearby and had already given her a bottle of water. He assisted and when the ambulance arrived was thanked and told he could move on." An onlooker tweeted about David's involvement in the incident, writing: "Was helping an old lady who fell over on my lunchbreak and guess who… drives up to help? David Beckham. That's who. What a gentleman."

David helped while out in London

This is not the first time the father-of-four has been spotted doing small acts of kindness, as just last year he bought hot drinks for a paramedic who was taking care of an elderly gentleman recovering from a fall. At the time, London Ambulance tweeted a photo of the paramedic with David, writing: "Thank you David Beckham for buying a tea and coffee for Catherine and her patient #buyitlikebeckham." Speaking about the incident, Catherine said: "We were both very amused and flattered… All of a sudden, I looked up and saw someone who looked like David Beckham walking past us. He said hello and got in his car. I said to the man I was treating, 'I think that was David Beckham'. Ten minutes later, he came back with a cup of coffee for me and a tea for the patient. It was awful cycling around in the cold today and I couldn't believe it when he came back with some hot drinks - I was so chuffed."
