She often talks about her desire to have children one day. And in a new interview, Christine Bleakley has revealed she "cannot wait" to become a mum because her husband Frank Lampard is already such a "brilliant" father. The 37-year-old, who is a stepmother to Frank's daughters Luna and Isla from a previous relationship, confessed it would be wonderful to have a child of their own.

Speaking with New Magazine, the former One Show host said: "I love children. If we were lucky enough it would be wonderful." Of her husband Frank, she added: "He's a brilliant dad, hands-on with the school runs and homework. I've seen it and he's proved he's amazing. I've done a trial run and he's passed the test."

Christine's comments come soon after she opened up about being a stepmother, claiming she's obtained a "strong sense of motherhood". The presenter admitted: "I think with Frank having two little girls, you've got a strange sense of motherhood without being mummy but it is a wonderful thing. There are no grandchildren in my family at all so I know my mum and dad would secretly love it. They'd never put pressure on us but I know they'd secretly adore it."

The TV presenter and football ace Frank have been together since 2009, and they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on December 20. Although the pair are yet to make future family plans, Christine previously admitted she would be open to the idea of IVF. "

'I would probably [have IVF]," she explained on Loose Women. "I have very close friends that have gone down that road and I know it can be incredibly difficult, you go through various rounds and they don't work, it can be very stressful for couple. It's one of those things where you just think, 'Well, I'll put my trust in whatever it is up there.' But if you're told you're can't, then that's when I think I'll go down that route. I've had a very good trial period of him and I know he'll be a great dad."
