Meryl Streep has just received her 20th Oscar nomination, but the novelty certainly hasn't worn off!

On Tuesday morning, the American star woke up to the news that she is up for Best Actress following her portrayal in Florence Foster Jenkins, and she had the best reaction ever.

Her publicist sent an official statement to HELLO! Online – a gif showing Meryl dancing for joy!

Meryl, 67, played New York heiress Florence, who dreamt of becoming an opera singer despite her terrible singing voice. She starred opposite Hugh Grant.

Out of her 20 nominations, Meryl has three Oscars under her belt. In 1980 she won Best Supporting Actress for Kramer vs Kramer, followed by Best Actress for Sophie's Choice in 1983 and Best Actress for The Iron Lady in 2012.

Emma, who is being recognised for her role in La La Land, said: "What a morning. I am so grateful for this honour and I'm so happy to share this feeling with my La La Land family. The greatest part of life is connecting with people, and I love the deeply talented, kind and passionate people I was lucky enough to work with on this movie.

"I'm also overjoyed that the movie has connected with audiences in the way it has, and that it's hopefully bringing a kick in their step to those who watch it. This is beyond any of our wildest imaginings and we can't wait to celebrate together."
