Mary Berry won the Best TV Judge award at the National Television Awards on Wednesday night, and showed her delight at the news by punching the air!

The 81-year-old looked shocked when she won the award after going up against Nicole Scherzinger, Simon Cowell and David Walliams, and adorably accepted her award from two of the children from Gogglebox. Punching the air with happiness, she spoke fondly of judging Great British Bake Off. "I'm thrilled," she said. "I love judging, it has always been a great honour. I think I know how to bake, and I love telling people how to do it a little better next time. I love judging, it has always been a great honour. Mary punched the air with joy

Former finalist Holly Bell opened up about how Mary would help her baking on the set of Great British Bake Off, telling HELLO! Online: "She is so sweet, she was always helping me while I was baking – she would even get told off for it! The show will be different with Mary, but she is 81 and everyone deserves to retire at some point. I think replacing her is a really hard act to follow though. I wouldn't want to do it!"
