Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield struggled with their presenting duties the day after attending the NTAs. The duo had partied hard into the early hours of the morning and only managed to grab a few hours of sleep before they were back in the studio.

Holly and Phil, who picked up the Live Magazine Show award for the seventh year in a row, looked slightly worse for wear as they carried out their hosting duties on This Morning.

"We have made it in today," said Phil. "Well, we've made it in, not in a brilliant condition, if we're truly honest… but at least we're not wearing the same clothes!"

Phil's voice seemed to have dropped about two octaves. "There's a lot of heaving breathing going on... And what's happened to your voice?" Holly asked.

"Well, we've made it in, not in a brilliant condition, if we're truly honest," said Phil

"It's gone really deep," he replied. The dad-of-three also had one request to the crew – to keep the noise down.

As Holly made a funny noise live on air, Phil said: "Don't be sick!"

During their awards acceptance speech, the pair had both made a promise to get tattoos, with Holly talking about getting a little star for This Morning. Entertainment reporter Rylan Clark-Neal had a tattoo van waiting downstairs, but Phil backtracked, saying: "Last night we did make a few rash promises... I've got to tell you, we so, so nearly did!"

"It was very close and there were a number of reasons why we are not sporting tattoos this morning," said Holly. "And it was more to do with the practicalities, and you can't get a tattoo if you've had a drink."

"Well, not strictly true..." said Phil.

"You have to do it in the moment..." replied Holly.

The bubbly blonde looked gorgeous at Wednesday night's ceremony, channelling old Hollywood glamour in a blush pink gown. But she revealed that she almost walked the red carpet barefoot.

"Thirty minutes before I left the hotel ready to go to the red carpet I was suddenly like, 'Where are my shoes?' I didn't have any shoes," said Holly.

"My husband Dan was with me, and so he called Vernon [Kay], but Tess [Daly] said 'No I haven't got any.' So then we rang Marvin [Humes], and Rochelle had some spare shoes but they weren't the right size.

"By that point I was like, 'Anything between a four and an eight is fine.' So I wore them. So thank you so much Rochelle for your shoes, you saved the day!"

It was a late night for Holly and her partner in crime Phil. The mum-of-three crawled into bed at around 4am, and shared a photo of the pair toasting to their success from earlier in the night. "Thank you.... and... good night @schofe ... you are the bestest! xxx" she wrote.

Phil, likewise, posted a snap of his award in bed, captioning it with a smiley face emoji.
