Everyone's favourite presenting duo Ant and Dec were awarded OBEs for services to broadcasting and entertainment on Friday, and the pair have shared sweet snaps of themselves celebrating in style!
The I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here presenters, who were awarded their OBEs by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace, shared a snap of themselves toasting with their medals proudly pinned to their jackets. Dec captioned the photo: "Thank you for all your kind messages, what a day; what a week!" He then regrammed a photo from Clarence House's official Instagram account which showed the pair collecting their awards, writing: "Well, this has turned into quite an incredible week." The pair had previously spoke about the honour, telling the Chronicle: "This will definitely be the proudest our mams have ever been! We are both shocked, but incredibly honoured to receive OBEs. We are just two ordinary lads from the west end of Newcastle. We hope us receiving this honour can inspire young people to chase their dreams and believe that anything is possible."
Clarence House's Instagram account congratulated the Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway hosts' on the honour, writing: "Congratulations @antanddecofficial on your OBEs! The presenting duo and @PrincesTrust Ambassadors both received an #OBE for Services to Broadcasting and Entertainment from The Prince of Wales today during an Investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace." The pair are clearly fans of the royal family, and joked that they would love to see Prince Charles enter the jungle on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. They told ITN: "Charles for sure. He's an outdoors sort of fella! He'd probably win it." It has been an amazing week for them both as they also won three awards at the National Television Awards on Wednesday. As they accepted the trophy, Dec said: "We are thrilled. If anything we get grateful more and more each year."
