Antonio Banderas was reportedly rushed to hospital after he experienced agonising chest pains over the weekend. The 56-year-old was exercising when he suffered a major heart scare, The Sun reports.
Antonio was taken by ambulance to St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, not far from his Surrey home. According to the report, doctors kept the actor in hospital for observation but released him after being satisfied that he was safe to go home.
The Spaniard, who moved to the UK in 2015, praised the medics who helped him. He also confirmed to The Sun that he had had an "episode".
Antonio himself seemed to address the incident on Instagram, as he posted a photo with his girlfriend Nicole Kimpel. "Enjoying nature after a startle. Besos," he captioned the selfie.

Antonio lives in a lavish, £2.4million property in the village of Cobham. He has previously spoken about leaving the party scene behind, and replacing it with a more relaxing country life.
"I find Surrey magical," Antonio told HELLO! magazine in the past. "I am not a party person anymore so I have the space and peace to write and really get inside my own head. I'm working on several scripts.
"I go cycling in the woods and everyone in Cobham, Weybridge and Esher is incredibly friendly. Above all, I am surrounded by nature. I love watching the deer and foxes that come to my garden."

The Mask of Zorro star is currently dating blonde model Nicole. He split from his wife of 18 years, Melanie Griffith, in 2014. Their divorce was finalised in 2015.
Despite the breakdown of their marriage, Antonio and Melanie have remained on good terms. The couple have one daughter, Stella, and still make the effort to spend time together as a family.

Last year Melanie and Antonio wished each other a happy birthday on social media, showing they are still good friends. Posting a throwback photo of the exes, Melanie wrote: "Happy Birthday to my ruggedly handsome ex husband @antoniobanderasoficial. I will always love you."
The day before, Antonio celebrated Melanie's birthday with a family photo. "Happy birthday Melanie," the actor wrote in his native tongue. "A loving hug from Marbella."
