Mariah Carey has released the music video for her single I Don't, in which she sets fire to a $250,000 (£200k) wedding dress. The star had originally planned to wear the custom Valentino gown on her wedding day before her split from fiancé James Packer. In the video, which was reportedly filmed at the couple's former home in Calabasas, the star wears her wedding gown as she flees from paparazzi in the back of a car, only to eventually take the dress off and burn it as she sings about a break up.

The lyrics of the tune include: "Said you would always be mine/Feeding me nothing but lies/ I was so gone, I admit it/ Happy messed up for a minute." The We Belong Together singer spoke about the single during an episode of Mariah's World, saying: "Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I've been going through. And if you're not getting the love that you need from someone that you're supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?"

The star originally spoke about her split from the Australian billionaire during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. At the time, Ellen said: "You were engaged and you were trying on wedding dresses in the docu-series. We see the behind the scenes of that, which is pretty personal. And now, you're not together anymore," to which Mariah replied: "Now it's a whole friggin' thing… Everything happens for a reason. Things are the way they are. It's kind of difficult to talk about it at the moment." James proposed to Mariah with a 35-carat diamond engagement ring in January 2016 before they parted ways in October.
