Luna Simone is one lucky baby! Her dad John Legend has revealed that he'll be taking the tot, who's almost one, on the road with him on his upcoming Darkness and Light tour. He made the revelation during a Facebook Live session. "The awesome part of this tour is my family is coming along," he said in the interview when responding to a fan's question about how he balances work and family. "This’ll be Luna’s first tour. She’ll be there, so I won’t have to spend a lot of time away from my family." Luna's model mum Chrissy Teigen will also be hitting the road.
In their downtime, the singer suggested that the family will likely take some time to watch various things on television, though he admitted that they often disagree on which shows to watch. "If it were just me, watching television all day, I would watch sports and the news, with a little bit of comedy thrown in," he shared. "[Chrissy] would watch… a little bit of the news and (a) comedy, but with a lot more Housewives."
The tour, which kicks off on May 12 in Miami will make two stops in Canada -- one in Vancouver on Jun. 1 and another in Toronto on Jun. 17. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times in late 2016, John spoke candidly about how he wanted this album to convey a specific viewpoint to his fans. He noted he wanted "to be honest and talk about the things I’ve been thinking about."
"If you follow me on Twitter, you know I have a point of view," he added. "I want to do the same with my art. I want to contribute to the conversation." Outside of his impending tour, the 38-year-old has said he would like to expand his family with Chrissy in the near future. The pair have been very candid about their struggles to conceive and speaking to Entertainment Tonight in January, he noted "a little boy is next for sure," referencing an embryo the pair has frozen thanks to a recent cycle of IVF.
