Matt Damon says he is "thrilled" for close friends George Clooney and Amal Clooney. The actor also revealed that he has known about the couple's baby news for months. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the Jason Bourne star recalled the moment George shared with him the happy news. “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘how far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘eight weeks.'”

The father of four was quick to quip, "Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t. I was like, ‘just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘we’re good right?'” to which George said, "We’re good.'”
Talk show host Julie Chen was the first to confirm the baby news live on air during Thursday's episode of The Talk. "Beyoncé is not the only superstar expecting twins. Congratulations are in order for George and Amal Clooney," she said. Julie, who attended George's cousin Miguel Ferrer's funeral with her husband, Leslie Moonves, last month continued: "Now, what we did find out that no one else is reporting is that the twins are due this June."
