Candice Brown cuddles up with boyfriend at Great Ormond Street's star studded Valentine's Ball

Candice Brown looked a picture of happiness on Thursday evening as she posed for photos with her boyfriend, Liam Macauley at the Great Ormond Street Valentine's Ball at Rosewood London. The Great British Bake Off winner, was one of the many kind hearted stars who got into the spirit of Valentine's day, and all for a very good cause. Candice was joined by former GBBO finalist, Richard Burr, who took part in the popular baking show back in 2014, along with host Tess Daly and Sophie Ellis-Bexter, who also performed at the event. The love-themed fundrasing event kicked off with a drinks and canapes reception, while magicians circled the tables, entertaining the guests.

Tess Daly, who stunned in a black jumpsuit, spoke about her excitment in presenting the event: “As patron of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, it’s been an honour to host this fantastic event for a second year running. Everyone has given so generously this evening and I know that the money raised will make a huge difference to many of the seriously ill children who are cared for at the hospital for years to come.” Meanwhile, Candice looked elegant in a teal floor-length gown, wearing her hair in an sophisticated up-do. Liam looked daper in a suit, complete with a fun tartan tie.

It's been a busy year for Candice since winning GBBO. The 31 year old posed with Liam and their pug dog, Dennis for the front cover of Hello! back in November, while December saw her feature in the Hello! advent calendar, also in aid of Great Ormond Street, where she discussed her Boxing Day plans while holding Dennis - who looked adorable in festive reindeer antlers. Candice also made the agonising decission to quit her job as a PE teacher in order to concentrate on new projects that have come her way since winning the Great British Bake Off.

Speaking at the time to the Mirror, Candice revealed: "My headteacher told me, 'You've got to do this, you can't do it half-heartedly. I wouldn't forgive myself if you missed out. It's not that we don't want you here but you have to give it 100 per cent". The star added: "This has been such an agonising decision to make. Never in a million years did I ever go into this show thinking this would happen".Candice also opened up to HELLO! magazine about her time in GBBO and said that winning had done wonders for her self-esteem. "When they said my name, that means more to me than anyone will ever realise," she said. "I have low self-belief, even though my friends and family constantly build my confidence up."
