Melania spent time with the wife of Japanese Prime Minister, Akie Abe, at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Florida, and spoke about the importance of gardening in both of their cultures. "Both our countries histories and cultures are steeped in the nurture and nature of gardening," she said. "Having knowledge of different cultures and customs is a wonderful way to learn and to explore. Gardening teaches us the fundamentals in care and the evolution of living things, all while inspiring us to nurture our minds and to relax and strengthen our bodies."

"Mrs. Trump will be moving to D.C. and settling into the White House at the end of the school year, splitting her time between New York and D.C. in the meantime," the statement read. "Mrs. Trump is honoured to serve this country and is taking the role and responsibilities of the First Lady very seriously."
