Katie Holmes’ latest Instagram post has left fans doing a double take! At first glance many of her followers assumed she had posted a sweet black-and-white snap of her daughter Suri, but in fact it was actually a throwback photo from her own childhood. In the adorable photo, a young Katie is the spitting image of her daughter as she beams for the camera while spending quality time with big brother Martin.
"#tbt my big brother and me #proudsister @stjohnjesuit," she captioned the heartwarming photo, which appears to have been taken during a visit to see her big brother at his school in Ohio. Fans quickly took note of the striking resemblance little Katie has to ten-year-old Suri. "Oh, Suri and you are twins!” exclaimed one follower while another added: “Good lord, your daughter looks just like you!"

It’s not the first time that the mother-daughter duo’s strong likeness has caught the attention of fans. The pair caused a stir when they sat courtside at a basketball game recently, their striking resemblance as evident as ever. The former Dawson’s Creek star clearly shares a close bond with her little girl, and has previously opened up about making sure she is a "dependable" mum despite her jam-packed work schedule.

"When I’m not on set, I’m being a mum," she told Modern Luxury. "I’m doing mum stuff. When I go to an event, I leave at 10pm because it’s really important to me to be a mum that is dependable." Katie also revealed that Suri has a great relationship with other members of her family, particularly her cousins. “We do a lot of cousin time with my nieces and nephews," she admitted. "I think the most important thing in my life is giving my child the childhood I want her to have. That comes first. That dictates where I work and when I work because it’s my main job right now."
