Katie Piper has given her followers a sneak peek into Eric Cowell's dinosaur-themed birthday party, which was thrown by his father Simon Cowell over the weekend. The 33-year-old presenter took to her Instagram page to share a picture of her two-year-old daughter Belle enjoying the lavish celebrations. "Surprise guest at Eric's birthday - First time Belle has seen a real dinosaur," Katie wrote in the caption.
Eric's birthday - which was on February 14 - was no doubt an impressive affair. Last year Simon and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman hosted their son's second birthday at the prestigious, members-only Arts Club in central London. Meanwhile, Katie has previously talked about her daughter's friendship with little Eric. "Our children were born a month apart, so it's quite sweet," she told Closer Magazine in 2015. "I've met Simon's girlfriend, Lauren, and Eric a few times – and Eric and Belle have had a play date. They were quite young, so they lay there gurgling together. When she's older, I'll have to tell her she went on a 'date' with him!"

Katie and the X Factor judge formed an unlikely friendship seven years ago, when Simon became patron of her charity, The Katie Piper Foundation. The television star, who is happily married to carpenter James Sutton, was a victim of a horrific acid attack in 2008. Over the past few weeks, Katie has been promoting her fifth book, Confidence: The Secret, and has urged fans to stay "positive" whenever they are feeling down or are having a bad day.

"It's all about positive thinking, reframing your thoughts and to stay optimistic," she told HELLO! Online. "We have to be careful if we're not happy or not coping – and actually say, 'It's okay to be depressed, it's okay to have anxiety and with all the mental health stuff.' There are so many people who have fears and anxiety. Sometimes it's about acceptance and letting go and to say, 'Today's a rubbish day, today I've found it really hard'. It's all right to feel down, feeling positive all the time is not real life, that's being a robot." Confidence: The Secret tells of Katie's next chapter from recovery to empowerment, sharing what she has learned from her most difficult moments to inspire and guide others.
