Kate Beckinsale has shared a cute throwback photo of herself and her daughter Lily as a toddler. The picture sees the British actress dressed in clothes that were drenched in fake blood, while her little girl had whiskers drawn over her face. In the caption, the mother-of-one joked that her ex-boyfriend Michael Sheen was to blame if their daughter grows up "weird". She wrote: "It was quite common for @lily_beckinsale to have drawn-on nose whiskers while I was covered in blood. If she has grown up weird I blame Michael."
Despite going their separate ways 13 years ago, Kate and Michael have remained the best of friends. They ended their eight-year relationship in 2003 when Lily was aged four. The Midnight in Paris actor, 48, is now in a relationship with comedic actress Sarah Silverman. Speaking about their friendship last year, Kate told the Telegraph: "We're very lucky. I spent nearly ten years of my life with Michael. I don't think I've got horrible taste and I really value the friendship that I have with him, and the fact that he is Lily's dad."
Just two months ago, the former couple were overcome with emotion as they celebrated their 17-year-old daughter's academic achievement. Taking to her Instagram page, the Hollywood actress revealed her delight as she shared the happy news with her followers. "The appropriate fatherly response when you find out your girl got into college: burst into tears, drop everything, rush over and pick up everyone even remotely involved. @lily_beckinsale we are so unbelievably proud of you. Fly fly fly," she wrote.

Last year, Kate's divorce from Len Wiseman was officially granted after over a decade of marriage. The film producer, 43, was previously married to a kindergarten teacher, but they got divorced shortly after he met Kate on the set of Underworld in 2003. The actress' relationship with Michael subsequently ended during the movie production.
