Gogglebox returned to our screens on Friday night but with one huge difference: the fan favourite Scarlett Moffatt and the rest of her family did not make an appearance. Fans were quick to voice their disappointment that the Moffatt family were no longer appearing on the show, with one writing: "BRING BACK OUR FAVOURITES! Going down hill fast! #Gogglebox,"while another added: "#Gogglebox just isn't the same without @ScarlettMoffatt and @the_moffatts #nothappy #bringthemback."

Scarlett rose to fame after appearing on I'm a Celebrity

The family were dropped from the show following Scarlett's rise to fame, and the reality show contestant revealed that the family were "gutted" that they could no longer take part. "We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much," she tweeted. "But can't wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts)." She then added: "We are gutted too, thought my Mam and dad (and little Ava) would still be able to do it but we will still be watching." Scarlett has had a hectic schedule since being crowned Queen of the Jungle in December, and will be appearing on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway on Saturday night. She said: "It's like a dream come true - working with Ant and Dec is unbelievable. They are my absolute heroes. Some of my favourite memories are being at home belly laughing with the family watching Saturday Night Takeway."

She will also be presenting the reboot of the TV dating show Streetmate with Alan Carr. "I can't believe Channel 4 have asked me to present this iconic show," she revealed. "I remember watching Davina on Streetmate when I was younger and thinking, 'Females can present entertainment shows too. I want to do that when I am older.' It's such a fun show and it's two of my favourite things to do; chat to randomers and a love story."
