The Oscars ceremony is one of the biggest and glitziest nights on the Hollywood calendar, and it seems that all of the excitement proved a bit too much for Chrissy Teigen! Amidst her hectic work schedule, being a mum to adorable baby Luna and supporting husband John Legend who performed at the Academy Awards on Sunday – not to mention walking the red carpet – Chrissy appeared to need a bit of a rest, and was spotted having a nap midway through the ceremony.
During Casey Affleck's acceptance speech for Best Actor, the camera panned to the audience – and eagle-eyed viewers spotted the 31-year-old fast asleep, her head resting on John's shoulder. Already renowned for her down-to-earth approach to the A-list world, Chrissy's power nap only seemed to reinforce her reputation, with many Twitter users admitting that it made her all the more relatable.
Naturally, Chrissy addressed the quirky moment in her typically humorous fashion. "Just woke up what happened," she tweeted the following morning, sending her fans into a further social media frenzy as she laughed off the mishap.

It wasn't the only time during the evening that Chrissy's antics caught the attention of fans. Husband John almost caused her to have a wardrobe malfunction on the Oscars red carpet when he accidentally stepped on her floor-length Zuhair Murad gown. Luckily, Chrissy noticed in time and laughed off the situation –but she later got him back by teasing him during an interview with E!'s Ryan Seacrest, joking that John was not feeling prepared for his performance at the star-studded event.

"He won't say it, but he's nervous," she said. "He's very nervous. There's a bit of a piano medley happening tonight that he doesn't know if he can do!" Luckily for John, his La La Land medley went off without a hitch – and now the singer can focus on his upcoming tour. He won't be away from Chrissy and the couple's daughter Luna however, having previously revealed that they will be joining him for his travels.
