Ant and Dec were in fits of giggles while taking part in a lip-reading battle over on the Saturday Night Takeaway YouTube channel, and it is pretty contagious! The loveable duo’s new segment, Ant & Dec V YouTube sees the pair each week take on popular vloggers in a challenge, and on Wednesday they competed against YouTuber twins Niki n Sammy in The Whisper Challenge. Being used to challenges on the show, you would think the presenters would have found reading each others lips a walk in the park, having done everything from pranking This Morning’s Holly Willoughby on Surprise Surprise to climbing down the edge of the ITV tower back in 2014. However, the funny pair found it a struggle, making it all the more funny.

The Whisper Challenge wasn't short of laughter from the loveable duo

The video starts with Dec hilariously asking Dec: “Can you hear me?” as he puts on his sound proof headphones, while Ant makes note that he likes the music. Dec then reads out “tiny shorts” to an oblivious Ant, who guesses “tiny sauce”, causing Dec to struggle to control his laughter. Ant did however, manage to get “juicy peach” right on first attempt – which again caused even more giggles. When it came to Dec’s turn, he joked as he wore his headphones: “I haven’t turned the music on yet. I was going to say, this is easy!” Despite Dec managing to mistake “pickled walnuts” for “bacon and eggs”, the presenters still managed to win with the overall score of 4 to 1. Result! Laughing at the end, Dec said in good spirits to Niki and Sammy “I thought we were bad, but you were rubbish!”
