Adele has decided to stop fireworks at her concerts after her young son Angelo was hit in the eye with debris during one of the star's performances. Chatting to the audience during her stadium show in Perth, Australia on Tuesday, the Rolling in the Deep singer said: "Up until last night, we did have fireworks for you. My son was watching in the crowd… a bit of debris went in his eye so we got rid of them. Let's get a cheer for fireworks if you want them. Let’s get a 'boo' if you don’t want [firework debris] in your eyes." As the crowd cheered, she joked: "All right, we'll do it next time."

Although the star has been performing in arenas, she recently revealed how difficult she found dealing with stage fright. She said: "I'm doing as many shows as I can with the availability. I'm even doing stadiums. Do you know, one time I said I wouldn't even play arenas? I said I'd only ever play theatres. To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away, so I don’t know how I managed to stay in the venue, to stay on the stage."

The 28-year-old has previously opened up about her son during an interview with Vogue, revealing how motherhood changed her. "[Angelo] makes me very proud of myself," she said. "When I became a parent, I felt like I was truly living. I had a purpose, where before I didn’t," she confessed. "I can't have any other junk in my head to worry about as well [as him]." She also thanked her four-year-old during an acceptance speech for Best Album of the Year at the Grammys, saying: "Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you're the only reason I do it."
