One Direction fans rally to support Louis Tomlinson after alleged arrest

According to reports, Louis Tomlinson was arrested after an altercation with a member of the paparazzi at LAX airport on Friday night. The One Direction band member allegedly attacked the photographer while trying to claim his luggage, and was taken away in handcuffs. Fans of the star have been quick to offer their support while questioning the arrest. "Tell me why Louis got arrested for defending himself but the paparazzi that invaded his privacy and harassed him didn’t?" one fan tweeted. Another added: "I'm here for Louis through thick and thin and nothing in this world is gonna change that." According to documents obtained by the Daily Mail,the father to baby son Freddie was given a misdemeanour after the incident and charged $20 thousand in bail.

The 25-year-old has had a difficult few months after losing his mum Johanna Deakin to cancer back in December. Speaking about her sad death, Louis told the hosts of SiriusXM Radio: "It's not something that I feel 100 per cent comfortable talking too much about, but just quickly, when I first found out the news I kind of did want to throw the towel in. But it was my mum who said to me that I've just got to keep going. She told me very sternly that she wanted me to." He also spoke about performing on The X Factor days after her death, saying: "It was tough. But I felt like it was nice to almost have a little send off for her… I have had to watch it back a couple of times since, because in the moment right there and especially with the emotion and everything, it all just wizzed by so quickly."
