Adele has paid a loving tribute to her husband Simon Konecki after breaking her silence on their secret wedding. During her concert in Brisbane, Australia over the weekend, the 28-year-old singer confirmed their marriage as she opened up about the writing process behind her hit song, Someone Like You. In a video obtained by The Sun, she told the crowd: "I could see in their eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone and that’s what I wanted to remember. How it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record."

"As bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling," she added. "Obviously I can't go through with those feelings because I'm married now. I've found my next person. But that feeling, when you first meet someone and everything about you just feels alive for the first time. I wanted to go back to that."

The emotional speech comes a few weeks after Adele confirmed she had tied the knot at this year's Grammys. Taking to the stage, the star wasted no time in thanking her "husband" as she picked up the prize for Best Album of the Year. The singer said: "Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son - you're the only reason I do it." In December, Adele was spotted wearing a band on her wedding finger, however, reps for the singer had "no comment" when asked if the star had tied the knot. The couple, who have been together for five years, are parents to their four-year-old son Angelo. Meanwhile, over the past 12 months, Adele has been wowing audiences around the world during her 2016 tour.
