Ronan Keating's wife Storm opens up about baby joy as the singer celebrates his 40th birthday

March 6, 2017

As Ronan Keating celebrates turning 40 this year, the pop star and his wife Storm have reflected on what they are most forward to within the next the few months - the arrival of their first child together. The Boyzone singer celebrated his landmark birthday on Friday, just days after hosting his annual star-studded Emeralds and Ivy Ball. The couple welcomed hundreds of guests to the glitzy, circus-themed event, which raised more than £600,000 for Cancer Research UK and the Marie Keating Foundation, the charity set up by Ronan and his family in memory of his mother, who died in 1998 aged just 51.

Sharing her pregnancy excitement, Storm told HELLO! Magazine at the event: "There's always a bit of a come down after the Emeralds and Ivy Ball because so much work and anticipation goes into the lead up. But thankfully this year we have another big event to be excited about - our baby - and by the next ball there will be a new little addition to add to our family tradition." The couple - who married at the Archerfield House in East Lothian, Scotland, in August, 2015 - originally met on the set of Australia's X Factor in 2012, when Ronan acted as a judge following the breakdown of their previous marriages.

Zara and Mike Tindall, model Abbey Clancy, singer Una Healy and reality TV star Spencer Matthews were among the famous faces at the bash last week. Ronan told Hello!: "To know that every year we can honour my mum in such an incredible way and raise so much money to make sure people don't go through what we went through, is really special. We don't want anyone to lose a loved one like we have; it's a pain that never goes away. And to have my wife and kids all involved as they are, makes it even more special."
