From the US to the UK, Taylor Swift is the talk of the town with English celebrities as of late. The pop star’s ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston opened up about his failed relationship with the 1989 singer in a new interview published with The Telegraph. When asked if he had any regrets, the Kong: Skull Island star replied: "What should I regret, in your mind? I would rather not talk about this if that’s all right."

Tom and Taylor split in 2016 after a whirlwind three-month romance

“I’m just thinking about this. Everyone is entitled to a private life,” he explained. “I love what I do and I dedicate myself with absolute commitment to making great art and great entertainment and in my mind I don’t conflict the two. My work is in the public sphere and I have a private life. And those two things are separate.”

Tom and Taylor, 27, split after three-months of dating last September. The actor previously defended the authenticity of their relationship in GQ. “Of course it was real,” he said. “Taylor is an amazing woman. She’s generous and kind and lovely, and we had the best time.”

Ed Sheeran admitted he can always count on pal Taylor Swift

The 36-year-old isn’t the only person the Bad Blood singer has in her corner. Taylor’s pal Ed Sheeran told Rolling Stone: "I always stick up for Taylor." The duo first met when the ginger-haired singer opened up for Tom's ex during her 2013 Red Tour. Ed said: "I was on the most amazing... tour in the world. I was just living in a country that I didn't belong in, in a town I didn't really know anyone.” He continued, "She would be there if everything ended for me. Taylor is kind of an anomaly in that sense. She's omnipresent because she's the most famous woman in the world, so she can't make the decision to not be in the press.”

While Ed can count on his friendship with Taylor, he also has the support of his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn. "One day this will f--king end. And I know the one person that's going to remain constant is Cherry," the Shape of You artist said. "I should just enjoy this while it's there, but not let it become my reality. Because that's not the reality I want to live in."
