Joe Manganiello sure is a romantic. The Magic Mike star revealed that he penned a book for his wife Sofia Vergara in honour of their one-year anniversary. "I wrote her a book as a gift for our first anniversary. It was about how we met, as well as our courting, and was about 40 pages long, "the 40-year-old told Cosmopolitan. "I love my wife a lot."
The actor also revealed to the publication how he courted his now-wife, after she split from Nick Loeb in 2014. "I was on a press tour when I found out Sofia was single," Joe shared. She told me she was about to make the announcement. I got her number from Jesse Tyler Ferguson [Sofia's Modern Family co-star], then a flew to New Orleans to take her on a date."
After beginning their relationship in 2014, the couple tied the knot at the luxurious Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Florida in November 2015. Opening up about her husband with HOLA! USA in 2017, Sofia, 44, said: "He's so funny and ever since we met, that's been really important." She added, "We even talk to each other all the time in this little voice that we made up, like a couple of dorks. Whoever heard us, would say, 'What is their problem?'"

Joe concurred that humour was the foundation to their romance. "From the first moments of our relationship, we spent just laughing our heads off together," he said. "We could talk for hours and it was very clear that we both shared the same sense of humour and core values."
