Scarlett Johansson's ex Romain Dauriac has asked the actress to withdraw her divorce filing and "go back to the negotiating table" for the sake of their two-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy. The French journalist, who married the Hollywood actress in 2014, released a statement to People, saying: "It is indeed unfortunate, especially for our daughter, that Scarlett filed in court and made our personal differences so public."
He added: "I would implore her to withdraw her action promptly and go back, as uncomfortable as it might be, to the negotiating table. We are the parents of a lovely daughter whom we will continue to co-parent for many years and share her joys and sorrows as only a parent can."

Scarlett, 32, filed for divorce on Tuesday, officially seeking an end to their two-year marriage. The actress' attorney Judith Poller served the divorce filings to Romain's lawyer, Hal Mayerson. In the divorce papers, Scarlett requested primary physical custody of her and Romain's young daughter. However, it's been reported that Romain plans to petition the court to allow him and his daughter to move to France.
The couple separated last summer, with Scarlett reportedly initiating the split. It wasn't until January of this year that news of their divorce came to light. Scarlett has been pictured without her wedding ring, however the pair caused confusion when they recently stepped out at a public event. The exes attended an art exhibition in New York City and looked very much an item as they cosied up for the camera, raising serious doubt about their relationship status.

Scarlett and Romain were first linked back in October 2012, and by the following September, the Frenchman had proposed with a beautiful vintage Art Deco style engagement ring. They wed in secret in October 2014, shortly after welcoming their baby girl.
