Adele stopped halfway through one of her performances after a fan suffered a heart attack during the concert. The Rolling in the Deep singer sounded tearful as she halted her show to check if the woman was okay, while other fans cleared a path so that paramedics could reach the ill 47-year-old. A fellow concert-goer, Meg Rylance, spoke to the Mirror about the incident, explaining: "She stopped the concert and she was like, 'I'm so sorry but someone got hurt and I have to check they're okay'. She actually seemed really tearful." The mum-of-one apologised to the crowd of more than 95,000 fans and began her set again after paramedics reached the woman, who was reportedly taken to a local hospital.

The star's tour has not been without its share of difficulties. Adele previously revealed that her son Angelo was hurt by firework debris during one of her arena shows in Australia, leading her to get rid of future firework displays. During a stadium show in Brisbane, she said: "Up until last night, we did have fireworks for you. My son was watching in the crowd… a bit of debris went in his eye so we got rid of them. Let's get a cheer for fireworks if you want them. Let’s get a 'boo' if you don’t want [firework debris] in your eyes." As the crowd cheered, she joked: "All right, we'll do it next time."

The 28-year-old has also admitted to suffering from stage fright, saying: "I'm doing as many shows as I can with the availability. I'm even doing stadiums. Do you know, one time I said I wouldn't even play arenas? I said I'd only ever play theatres. To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away, so I don’t know how I managed to stay in the venue, to stay on the stage."
