Katie Piper has been forced to make an emergency dash to the hospital on her daughter Belle's third birthday. The TV presenter shared a photo on Instagram from the adult urgent care centre, writing "Current situation!!!" alongside a sad-face emoji. Katie revealed to her followers: "Not ideal on my daughter's birthday!" The 33-year-old had recently updated fans about her health, saying that she was suffering from a "really bad" eye infection.

Katie posted a video, showing her very sore-looking eye, and told her followers: "So, I just got in from work and wanted to make a video to show you. This is something that can happen when you've got injuries from the past near your eyes. Today, I've come out in a really bad eye infection, I have a lot of antibiotic creams and stuff, my own little supply that I keep at home." She continued: "I'm going to treat it with some antibiotic cream and some drops, let me know if you have sensitive eyes or any eye problems. This happens to me quite a lot but it usually clears up after a few days."

Katie and her husband Richard Sutton are the proud parents to daughter Belle. The philanthropist threw a very appropriately themed Tinkerbell birthday party for her little girl over the weekend. Katie dressed up as a very convincing Tinkerbell, Richard morphed into Captain Hook while Belle went as Peter Pan.

Katie shared numerous photos on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse at Belle's amazing birthday bash. The youngster was treated to colourful balloons, presents and a homemade Peter Pan-themed cake made by Katie's friend. After the party, Katie wrote: "It's all over for another year!!!! My baby is 3yrs old and I don't even know where the time has gone! Big shout out to the lovely @neribaeventstyling for these amazing personalised back drops and centre pieces and @lizbespoke_events for the perfectly styled table and chairs that the kids then covered in crisps and chocolate! Going to be a challenge to beat this for the big 4 next year."
