Katie Piper told fans that she has been discharged from hospital

Katie has been suffering from an eye infection and in another Instagram video, she said that she was treating it with antibiotic creams. The philanthropist, who was the victim of a horrific acid attack arranged by her ex-boyfriend in 2008, explained that infections can come about “when you’ve got injuries from the past”. The mum-of-one had to be taken to hospital on Tuesday on her daughter’s birthday after the infection worsened.

Katie and her husband Richard Sutton are the proud parents to daughter Belle. The couple celebrated their little girl’s third birthday last weekend, by throwing her an incredible Peter Pan-themed party. Belle, who Katie is fiercely protective of, dressed up as Peter Pan while her gorgeous mummy went as Tinkerbell.
