She added: "You have honestly been amazing and I couldn't have wished for a better mum. I love you so much, with all my heart. And happy mother's day, you deserve it." Joined by her mother, the 27-year-old went on to confess her mother has always been on hand to offer her funny pearls of wisdom. "Over the years, my mother has given me so many pieces of advice," she explained. "A very good piece of advice she has given me is, 'never be afraid of being too overdressed.' I think this has served me very well, so even when it means I'm going to the pub or the shop, I'm always wearing glamourous clothes. I think that has served me very well - so thanks for that."

QUIZ: Which famous mum are you?
Known for her quirky sense of style, Debbie explained how everyone should embrace their own individual style and not follow the trend as she praised her daughter for growing up in front of the public eye. "I've always dressed differently," she admitted. "I think the message I'll give to all of you out there is just be different, don't follow the trends - just be yourself, be unique, be special. And all of you are special… so for me it's been an absolute privilege to see my daughter grow up on screen. All of you have seen her grown up since she was 19 when she went on TOWIE. She's 26 now, it's been a privilege because [her life] has been [documented]. And when I'm 97, I can watch the boxset."

Spoil your mum with these Mother's Day gifts
Speaking about the times her mother has embarrassed her when she was a kid, Lydia shared that her mother always stood out at the school gate thanks to her unusual sense of style. "When you're at school, you want to fit in with the crowd. But my mum was never one to fit in," she said. "So I often had to go to hippie conventions where she tied herself to trees and scream 'save the tress' that was a regular occasion. When she used to pick me up from school, she would always wear these really eccentric outfits – so there was the sari stage, the Swedish clog phase."
