Lydia Bright and her mum Debbie opened up about the TOWIE star's childhood during an hilarious Facebook Live chat with HELLO!. The pair, who are now "best friends", opened up about how Debbie has fostered over 200 children over the last 24 years. Speaking about the decision to begin fostering, Debbie said: "You have to ask, 'Will it fit in with the family?' And sometimes you've got to go for things… I was just going to have two years off work because Georgia and Lydia came very close in age, so even if I do it for a couple of years before I go back into a career. That was 24 years ago so I must love it! Anyone who goes into fostering has to love children, has to love it. It's moulded me into the person I am."

Lydia spoke about her unusual upbringing herself. "I've never known any different… It's really hard for me to compare it from what a normal family is but I knew we were different because there were so many of us," she said. "There were times when I hated it and moaned about it but the majority of the time I have so many fond memories of it. I learned so much as a child. It's only taught me good lessons… When I was a child can you imagine there was always 7 of us I was never bored! I never knew what boredom was!"

She also joked about Debbie's parenting style, revealing that she preferred the children to play outdoors. "We were banished to the garden most days," Lydia revealed. "We weren't really allowed to watch TV or have play stations. Very rarely! But she believed in being outside and to use our imagination which was a good thing! So I was always outside or in the forest! She toughened us up!"
