Madonna has shared an adorable photo of her adopted twin daughters, Stella and Esther, fast asleep in matching black outfits. The proud mum, who adopted the pair from Malawi, quoted one of her hits songs in the caption, writing: "What it Feels Like For A Girl." Fans were quick to praise the sleepy twins, with one writing: "All that space... and still snuggled up close to each other," while another added: "Congratulations on the beautiful family!"

Madonna also recently shared a video of the girls chanting: "Mambo coffee" before they begin to trip over their words and begin giggling. She captioned the clip: "How Mambo is gonna get through Friday!" The 58-year-old was granted an adoption in February this year after initially denying that she had travelled to Malawi to adopt. After the application was approved, she shared a photo of herself holding hands with the two girls, writing: "I can officially confirm I have completed the process of adopting twin sisters from Malawi and am overjoyed that they are now part of our family. I am deeply grateful to all those in Malawi who helped make this possible, and I ask the media please to respect our privacy during this transitional time."

The presiding judge for the adoption process explained that she asked the singer particularly difficult questions during the case. "The petitioner is a professional performer and I guarded myself against the danger of her merely reciting a well-rehearsed speech by asking her some rather uncomfortable questions to which she gave very candid answers," Fiona Mwale said. She continued to say that she was confident that Madonna was "motivated by her desire to offer a home, love, protection and guidance".
