Katie Piper has revealed her secret to a happy marriage. Speaking at the Ideal Home Show at Olympia London on Friday, the 33-year-old - who is married to Richard Sutton - confessed it was down to putting on weight. Dressed in her bridal gown, the TV presenter told MailOnline: "I thought, 'It will be fine, it'll look great for this show.' But I went to put it on last night and it didn't really do up. My husband was trying to do it up last night and he said, 'This is the sign of a happy marriage, you've put on weight, that's a good thing.'"

In November, Katie and carpenter Richard celebrated their first anniversary as husband and wife. The couple are proud parents to three-year-old daughter Belle. When asked if she would like another child soon, the star remarked: "I keep seeing babies all the time and it's that realisation that Belle is not a baby anymore. She's a person who Facetimes me and talks to me and she's out of nappies. I keep seeing babies and missing it. I'm a little bit broody, because she's three so it's that new stage now."

STORY: Katie Piper shares previously unseen wedding photo

Although Katie and her partner prefer to keep their romance out of the spotlight, the mother-of-one previously opened up about their wedding day. "I'm the only person in my family who works in the TV industry and it was hard to explain to relatives, 'Please don't write about it on Facebook'," she told the Sunday People last year. "It was also hard on some of the people who provided services for the wedding as, understandably, they wanted to put it on their websites."

She added: "We had to cancel it a couple of times because I was ill. But we shared it with our close family and friends, so everyone who knows us got to experience it. The whole chapter of getting married and having a baby was something I had hoped for - but I knew it was a luxury and it doesn't happen to everybody. I felt even more joyful because I wasn't sure if it was something I'd be privileged enough to experience."
