The One Show host Alex Jones has shared an adorable snap of her two-month-old baby boy Ted with her 58.4k Instagram followers for Comic Relief. The photograph shows her sweet newborn wearing a white outfit with a fun bunny picture on the front sporting a red nose and red sunglasses. The top says ‘Bertie by Rankin’. Alex wrote: “I’ve found you a new recruit” and tagged the picture ‘#toosmallforanose’. Her followers loved the photo, with one posting: “He’s adorable in the cute little top” and another writing “adorable – look at that little fist”
Mum Alex, who just turned 40, seems to be enjoying her maternity leave away from The One Show with her new son, full name Edward Alan Burrell Thomson. Earlier this week Alex posted a photo of Petersham Nurseries in London’s Richmond, with the caption: “One of my favourite places for tea and cake, especially in spring.” One fan commented: “If you’re out enjoying tea and cake with a mini me, then you are already winning at the parent game.”

Alex and husband Charlie Thomson became parents to little Ted in January. He was born at the Hammersmith and Fulham hospital weighing 7lbs 11oz. On her new arrival, she said: "It was all very straightforward. Charlie was with me and mum and dad were in the waiting room… We're in this bubble the three of us. It's just the best time." Shortly afterwards she posted a photo showing Ted’s tiny hand holding her finger. She wrote, "My new obsession. #soinlovewithhim". Shortly after the birth, Alex called The One Show and said on air: "We're a bit behind on the whole name thing because we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. We thought, 'When we see him we'll know what he looks like', but actually it's really hard."
