Louis Tomlinson shared a heartbreaking tribute to his late mum Johannah Deakin on Saturday to mark what would have been her 44th birthday. The One Direction singer took to Twitter to share a poignant message with his fans who were already rallying round to offer support and kindness to the former boybander. “Happy birthday mum, I love you,” the 25-year-old singer wrote simply. Immediately fans responded with kind words and Louis’ little sister Daisy, just 13, also took to social media to remember her mum, just one day before Mother’s Day.

Louis’ mum Johanna died in December following a battle against Leukaemia. In January the singer spoke about the heartbreak of losing his mother for the first time. Speaking on SiriusXM Radio, Louis said: "It's not something that I feel 100 per cent comfortable talking too much about, but just quickly, when I first found out the news I kind of did want to throw the towel in. But it was my mum who said to me that I've just got to keep going. She told me very sternly that she wanted me to."
