It was announced in 2015 that the father-of-four had landed a cameo role in the upcoming Hollywood film, which also stars Charlie Hunnam, Annabelle Wallis, Jude Law and Eric Bana. It's been reported that David has been named in the cast list as Blackleg leader. This is not the first time the sporting ace and the British director have worked together - they teamed up in 2013 when Guy shot an underwear advert starring the footballer. David also had a small cameo as a KGB projectionist in The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

David, who is married to fashion designer Victoria Beckham, previously opened up about his hopes of pursuing a career in acting. "I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting and failed," he told the Times. "I know that it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline, and I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice. But what I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things. I am a well-known person, so I have got used to criticism."
