Phillip Schofield posts funny video of himself on his birthday

Phillip Schofield has taken to his Instagram page to share a hilarious video with his 1.1 million followers on his birthday. The presenter turned 55 on April 1st and posted the clip to show off his new present from his wife Stephanie – a virtual reality headset. “VR for my birthday from Mrs S!!” wrote the star, “Defending my castle in my dressing gown.” Phillip could be seen wearing the fun headset and seemed to be shooting a pretend bow and arrow as he played his new game. The birthday boy appeared in his lounge wearing a white dressing gown in the clip.

This Morning host Phillip’s Instagram followers loved the amusing video with one commenting: “Happy birthday Schofield have a good one,” and another writing: “Love it enjoy, Lil boys and their toys bless your wife. Have a great birthday.” A third fan joked on the social media site: “Careful that dressing gown doesn't come undone!” while another follower said: “Really need one of these lol”, referring to the futuristic game. And in reference to the date, one fan asked, “Is this an April fool?”

TV star Phillip has been married to wife Stephanie since 1993. The happy couple first met while Stephanie was working as a production assistant at BBC Children’s TV and they have two daughters Ruby, 20 and Molly, 23. Phillip and Stephanie have been busy recently filming a new TV series together called Schofield’s South African Adventure. It’s the first time we’ve seen the married couple on screen together. Speaking to Christine Lampard on Lorraine, Phillip said of his wife: “She worked in television years ago, that was how we met, so she can do it, she just doesn't want to these days.”
