David Beckham has shared a hilarious snap of himself photoshopped into an Only Fools and Horses poster. In the snap, which is labelled 'David Peckham' (where the show is set), the retired footballer looks like a part of the cast while dressed in a red turtleneck jumper and a fur coat, complete with a flat cap.

Fans were quick to discuss the funny picture, with one writing: "When I first saw this, I thought it was a teaser of a movie or something in which your name was David 'Peckham'." Another added: "Greatest thing ever mate! Grew up with Only Fools! Saw your wee clip! Hilarious loved it!" David is clearly a huge fan of the beloved comedy, and even appeared in a Comic Relief special of the show back in 2014.

The stars of the show, Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst, recently opened up about the possibility of a revival, claiming they wouldn't make any more full episodes following the death of the show's writer, John Sullivan, in 2011. Chatting to the Daily Mirror, Nicholas said: "We can't do 'Fools and Horses' again as the writers are not there. It will never happen. It ended on a high." David added: "When we did 'Fools and Horses' we just had a writer who just wrote and that was his craft and he handed it onto us. We were very fortunate that we were doing a TV show that was written by such a talented man. Now everybody wants instant success, an instant winner and you can't have an instant winner."

John Challis, who played used car salesman Boycie in the show, previously spoke about a reunion, revealing that the show creator had planned to write one more episode before he sadly passed away. "Just before John died he was actually getting together a special for us," he told the Daily Star. "It was going to be Del Boy’s 65th birthday – for which everyone would meet at The Nag's Head – and retirement. Everyone was going to be part of that but unfortunately John got ill and never recovered, so it never happened."
