Where in the world is Taylor Swift? The singer didn’t walk any red carpets during award season and her social media accounts have gone dark. She returned to the spotlight in February to perform what she called her “only concert of 2017” during Super Bowl weekend in Texas, but since then hasn’t made any headlines. This has many fans wondering what the singer has been up to? Here, we get to the bottom of the Shake It Off singer’s mysterious disappearance from Hollywood.

The singer is currently in Nashville recording her sixth studio album

The 1989 star “has been busy working on her upcoming album” in Nashville, Tennessee a source told ET. The insider also revealed that the singer-songwriter is trying to figure out the direction of her sixth studio album, [she]is trying to figure out if she wants her album to be more pop or country, she’s planning to release the album this year.” The source also explained that the 27-year-old is in the musical city to stay away from the prying eye of photographers. “She comes here to get away from the paparazzi,” the source told the entertainment outlet.

Being the formidable squad leader that she is, the only thing that inspired Taylor to break her social media silence was when her close friend Lorde released a new single in March. The Grammy-award winner's post promoting her BFF’s new song Green Light was her first and only post in the past two months.

The pop star also broke her silence to share a video of herself and Gigi Hadid hearing Taylor’s song with Zayn Malik I Don’t Wanna Live Forever on the radio for the first time in February. The track was featured on the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker, and was penned by Lena Dunham’s partner Jack Antonoff.
