Jeremy Kyle has spoken briefly about his late mother Nanette, who sadly passed away in March. During an appearance on The Jeremy Kyle Show, the presenter spoke to a guest, Kylie, about her battle with drug addiction. Kylie had previously been on the show with her mum and grandmother, who had persuaded her to go to rehab, but after just two weeks, she left rehab. Since then her grandmother has died.
Speaking to Kylie, Jeremy said that she should use her grandmother's death as motivation to get clean. He revealed: "My mother died a few weeks ago and I came to work the next day, so you use that as a motivation because I'm sick of people who aren't helping themselves. Your grandma idolised you, and she passed with you having broken her heart." Jeremy managed to convince Kylie to admit herself back into rehab, with her saying: "Nothing will make me leave, not this time. Me nan's watching over me and giving me the strength this time."
Jeremy Kyle is mourning the loss of his mother Nanette
Jeremy's mother Nanette died at the age of 85 last month. The chat show host flew to Barbados to comfort his dad in light of his mum's passing. Nanette had reportedly been suffering a long battle with dementia. A source told The Sun: "Nan had been unwell for a long time and was in her eighties, but it doesn't make it any easier for the family to come to terms with."
Jeremy was pictured in Barbados with his new girlfriend Vicky Burton, prompting speculation the couple were there to tie the knot. But wedding plans were far from Jeremy's mind. "Marriage is the last thing on the agenda at the minute," the source said. "Jeremy has had an awful couple of months coping with the passing of his mum, who he was extremely close to. That's why he took his father away on holiday – he needed the chance to relax after a traumatic period and he felt his dad needed a break too."
