Cat Deeley will always have a place in British hearts as the fun presenter of Saturday morning TV show SM:TV Live, which she co-hosted with close friends Ant and Dec in the late nineties. Since then the 40-year-old star has gone on to see huge success in America as the host of hit show So You Think You Can Dance. The popular presenter is known for keeping her personal life private, but this weekend she gave a rare interview to The Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine, talking about her US success and home life with comedian husband Patrick Kielty and their one-year-old son Milo.

Speaking about her happy marriage to Irish comic Patrick, Cat revealed how she fell for her husband: “He was very clear this was what he wanted, and that was what got me. I have lived a life where I’ve met lots of incredible people and been to lots of places, so it takes a lot to blow my socks off. But what did it was this man who had the confidence to say what he wanted, to fly halfway around the world to get it.” Cat also spoke about their son Milo and how their busy lives mean he has his own routine. She said: “I try to keep Milo on a schedule.”

The star understandably misses the UK, especially now she has her son. She revealed: “I miss my family more now that we have Milo,” and continued, “I like to think that home is wherever we are, but I do feel more of a pull back to the UK these days.” Just this weekend, Cat appeared on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway live from Florida. When Ant and Dec asked her if she’d consider joining them for a reunion show next year to mark the 20 year anniversary of SM:TV Live, Cat replied, “Yeah, let’s do it!”.

Cat married Patrick back in 2012 in a secret ceremony in Rome and they revealed they were expecting Milo in September 2015. He was born on 19 January 2016. Cat recently spoke about motherhood and told Closer: "I'm besotted with the baby and really enjoying motherhood. You have to listen to advice, then it's all about learning on the job. Nothing can prepare you for parenthood."
