Amanda Holden has congratulated Cheryl and her partner, One Direction's Liam Payne on the birth of their baby boy. The Britain’s Got Talent judge sent warm wishes to the proud new parents in her Fabulous magazine column on Sunday. Amanda, 45, wrote: “I’m over the moon for Cheryl and Liam Payne, who’ve had a lovely baby boy.” The TV star, who is a mum-of-two, empathised with Cheryl and Liam for keeping a low profile in the early days with their son. Amanda said: “I can understand their determination to keep their son firmly out of the limelight for now. It’s natural to feel really protective as a new mum, and just want to enjoy this special time in private.” Referring to the famous couple’s good looks, she wrote: “He’s bound to be a heartbreaker, though!”

Amanda has been busy this week herself, visiting Venice in Italy with her eldest daughter Lexi, 11. She told readers that it was important to have some quality time with both her daughters on their own. Speaking about her husband, record producer Chris Hughes, the presenter wrote: “The last time I was in Venice was years ago with Chris when we were dating, so it was lovely to revisit with my growing-up-too-fast little girl.”
The talent show judge will be back sitting alongside Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams next weekend when Britain’s Got Talent 2017 hits our screens. On Saturday, Amanda took to her Instagram page to remind her followers that it’s just seven days until BGT is back on TV. In the short video clip, the star appears next to fellow judge Alesha and does a countdown for viewers. Amanda posted this caption by the video: “7 days until @bgt back on telly @itv cannot wait!!! #squeals. One follower wrote: “I literally can't wait. I love you both.”
