Jaden Smith said goodbye to his bleached blonde dreadlocks this week – with a little help from his dad, Will Smith. The 48-year-old actor shared a photo on his Facebook page showing before and after photos of Jaden's new look. "Getting Jaden Smith ready for filming #LifeInAYear… maybe I should've used scissors?!" Will captioned the pictures. Jaden, 18, decided to go for the chop for his latest movie role in Life in a Year, which his famous father is producing.

The film follows a teenage boy who discovers that his girlfriend is dying of cancer, and so makes it his mission to give her a full life in the last year that she has to live. Cara Delevingne will star opposite Jaden, along with Terrence Howard and Nia Long.

Will, meanwhile, recently reunited with his Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-stars – much to the delight of the show's fans. The Collateral Beauty actor posed for a photograph with the cast as they enjoyed a catch-up, more than 20 years after the last episode of the sitcom aired. Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton, shared the picture of himself posing alongside Will, Tatyana Ali (who played Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Vivian) and Joseph Marcell (butler Geoffrey). In the Instagram post, Alfonso wrote: "Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete."

The picture sparked calls for a reboot of the show – but Alfonso has previously ruled out the possibility, saying the cast wouldn't reunited following the death of James, who starred as Uncle Phil. "Since the passing of my favourite dad in the world, ever on TV, James Avery, the chances of a Fresh Prince coming back together will not happen," he told E! News. "I don't think we feel as a cast that we would do even our fans justice. We all felt like he was the centrepiece or the nucleus of that show. Without him, it just doesn't work... we're not looking for that to happen. And that's OK."
